Homewood Hosts Third Annual Love Your Trees Event

Homewood residents are invited to come out and celebrate their local environment at the upcoming third annual Love Your Trees event on November 2, 2024. Organized by the Homewood Environmental Commission, the event will take place at Homewood Central Park from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., encouraging community participation in enhancing the town’s tree canopy.

What’s in Store at the Event

As part of the initiative to engage residents in tree planting, the Love Your Trees event will offer attendees free trees, aiming to promote sustainability and increase the local greenery. Residents will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of tree species, including Nuttall Oak, Shumard Oak, River Birch, Sweetbay Magnolia, Virginia Pine, American Beech, and Red Cedar.

To add to the festive atmosphere, local favorites Hero Doughnuts and Domestique Coffee will be on-site, providing delicious treats to keep participants energized. The event will also features talks and discussions with local tree experts and members of the Homewood Environmental Commission, making it a great opportunity for residents to learn about tree care and the environmental benefits of planting trees.
