For those keeping score, November 7th hit a steamy record high of 86°F, turning up the thermostat more than we’re used to this time of year! You could say it felt more like summer than fall!
Now, we did have a few cooler days as we wrapped up the month, with just three days falling below average in terms of high temperatures. But boy, did the cold fronts come knocking at the door towards the end! Some nights brought us back down to chilly insights that reminded us winter is not just a figment of our imagination.
Mild Nights, Warm Average
On the topic of nighttime, while some might have grabbed their sweaters in late November, the overall average temperature for the month was a quite balmy 61.2°F. That’s a whole 7.2°F above the typical monthly average of 54.0°F! Talk about a warm November! This makes it the third warmest November on record for our area, all the way back to 1895. That’s not too shabby, right?
