Alabama Peanut Co. Adds a New Twist to ‘Good Old Southern Hospitality’

A wave of excitement has filled Birmingham as the Alabama Peanut Co. adds beer, wine, and a sought-after happy hour special to their drink card. Known for its signature world-renowned roasted and boiled peanuts, the company is now offering patrons a whole new way to experience their products.

New Exciting Happy Hour Moments

According to Alabama Peanut Co manager, Chase Johnson, the venture into serving alcohol has been ongoing for the past month and a half. As part of this innovative partnership, Alabama Peanut Co has rolled out a “beer-peanut” happy hour that includes collaboration with several local Birmingham breweries. This creative initiative allows patrons to enjoy both a refreshing beer and a savory boiled peanut in a single gulp.

So far, four classic beers have been paired to perfection and boiled with the peanuts. The collaborations include Cahaba Brewing’s ‘Strawberry Blonde’, Good People’s ‘IPA’, Trim Tab’s ‘Paradise Now’, and the ‘Muchachos’ from Good People. This special peanut and beer pairing is available for just $10 during the happy hour, which takes place every Thursday and Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm, and all day Saturdays until 6 pm.

Beverage Variety and More at Alabama Peanut Co.

Apart from the local craft beers, Alabama Peanut Co. also offers domestic beers, canned wines, and THC CBD beverages, promising a refreshing drink for every kind of patron. Accompanying these new beverage options are, of course, the countless varieties of peanuts that the company has been dishing out for over a century.

An integral part of Birmingham since 1907, the Alabama Peanut Co. is one of the last remaining peanut merchants in the US. The company’s charm, combined with its new offerings, make it a must-visit hotspot for locals and tourists alike.

Located at 2016 Morris Avenue, the Alabama Peanut Co. is open from 10 am to 5 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, while on Wednesday and Saturday, it’s open from 10 am to 4 pm.

A Taste of the South

With its innovative pairing of classic southern peanuts and refreshing local craft beers, the Alabama Peanut Co. offers a unique blend of tradition and novelty. This reinvention of Birmingham’s heritage has certainly caught the attention of food lovers and travelers, making it the next big name in Alabama’s food scene.

So whether it’s about relishing the traditional boiled peanuts or finding new flavors with the beer and peanut pairings, everyone is invited to join the feast at the Alabama Peanut Co. Remember to tag your photos with @bhamnow when you pay your visit!
