For those yet unfamiliar with this much-anticipated annual event, we’ve culled together an ultimate guide on where to eat, sleep, and relish all the electrifying sports action. The city of Birmingham and Jefferson County are proud city partners of this thrilling, sports infused weekend. For those apprehensive about missing out on the action, worry not – registrations for several sports showdowns are still open. It’s time to get your crew together and form the dream team you’ve always envisioned. Be it a seasoned athlete or a sports novice seeking new experiences, there is something for everyone.

For those particularly interested, the following sports are still welcoming registrations until May 25: Baseball, Softball, and Individual Wrestling. June will see the closure of registrations for various games such as Bowling, Soccer, Archery, Pickleball, Track & Field, Ultimate Frisbee, Beach Volleyball, Judo, Baton, Diving, Equestrian, Miracle League, Swimming, Table Tennis, Chess, Disc Golf, and Atomic Ninja.

Scholarship Opportunities

The Alabama State Games also presents an exciting opportunity for participants to secure scholarship money that can pave the path to a promising educational future. A total of $50,000 is up for winners. Participants in any of the Alabama State Games’ events automatically qualify for these scholarships, provided they are present when their numbers are drawn.

41st Alabama State Games Venue Guide

With the largest city in Alabama, Birmingham at the helm of the event, various games will be hosted across numerous venues. Team Bowling, Chess, Diving, and Swimming events will be conducted at Riverview Bowlero and Birmingham Public Libraries’ Avondale Regional Branch, and Birmingham Crossplex, respectively.

Gardendale and Fultondale will be organizing events for Baseball, Baton Twirling, E-Sports, and Pickleball at Bill Noble Park, Gardendale Civic Center, and Bill Noble Park, respectively.

Homewood will host Hometown Table Tennis, while the city of Hoover will be the go-to place for Archery, Judo, Powerlifting, and Girls All Ages Folkstyle wrestling at Hoover Tactical and Hoover High School.

Moody Municipal Park will witness Miracle League, while Magnolia Links in Mount Olive will host Disc Golf. Track & Field, and Beach Volleyball events will be held at Pelham High School and Pelham Rec Center Beach Courts, respectively. Pell City’s Full Circle Horse Park presents a fantastic setting for Equestrian, while Wrestling Boys Team Duals will take place at Hewitt-Trussville High School in Trussville.

Vestavia Hills will be the hub for Soccer, Softball, and Ultimate Frisbee events, all scheduled at Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex, Liberty Park Sports Complex, and Liberty Park Soccer Complex.
