Attendees are recommended to wear comfortable footwear, such as sneakers or sandals, as high heels are not permitted on the dance field. To ensure safety and security, a clear bag policy will be enforced at Legion Field, and parking is available for $5.

Street Closures and Parking Information

In preparation for the festival, several street closures will be implemented in the downtown area:

  • Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd from Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd to 19th Street North
  • Park Place from Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd to 19th Street North
  • Short 20th Street North in front of Birmingham City Hall

On June 5, no vehicles will be allowed to park on Park Place as food trucks and vendors will begin assembling at 4 p.m. Subsequent closures will include:

  • June 6: Closure of Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd starting at 9 a.m. for fencing installation, while maintaining sidewalk access for foot traffic. The Boutwell deck access will close at 9 a.m., with entry through 19th Street North.
  • Closure of Short 20th Street North to foot traffic at 2 p.m.; Park Place will remain accessible until 3 p.m.
  • Parking in the Boutwell deck on June 6 will cost $30 starting at 1 p.m., with additional downtown street parking available where possible.
