Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Return to Birmingham in 2025

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After a long-awaited period of five years, a renewed version of “The Greatest Show on Earth” entertains the idea of making its grand return to Birmingham in 2025 sans the traditional animal acts. The news release points out that the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey will be performing at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC from January 31 to February 2, 2025.

The Greatest Show sans Animals

The vaunted circus took down its tents in 2017 after dealing with declining ticket sales and the necessity to phase out elephant acts that resulted from several court battles. This upcoming version of the show is set to be a unique production with over 50 circus acts and a troupe of 75 performers, excluding animals.

Ticket Sale Announcement

General public tickets for the upcoming entertainment extravaganza will go on sale on August 27, 2024. However, those interested can also sign up to become a Ringling Insider and avail themselves of pre-sale code access, ensuring they don’t miss out on the opportunity to witness this historic event.

Attractions in the Upcoming Circus Production

The Greatest Show on Earth is going to be bolstered by an array of unique stunts and performances. The audience can expect awe-inspiring acts such as a triangular highwire, crisscross flying trapeze, and expansive BMX bike stunt sequences. Other headline attractions include the Doomsday Wheel of Destiny, along with Wesley The One Wheel Wonder, an astounding act from a Guinness World Record-setting unicycle performer. To enhance the experience even more, live music throughout the events will fill the atmosphere with electric energy and anticipation.

The comeback of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey to Birmingham serves as a significant landmark in the world of entertainment given its track record as an esteemed circus enterprise and its decision to develop an animal-free production. Birmingham residents and visitors in 2025 are looking forward to welcoming back The Greatest Show on Earth with eager anticipation and open arms.
