TUSK Calendar: Exciting Week Ahead for Music and Comedy Lovers in Alabama


March 7-13 is all set to be an enthralling week for music mavens and comedy enthusiasts in West Alabama. The musical panorama incorporates performances by Debbie Bond, Fall Out Boy featuring Jimmy Eat World, Bee Gees tribute band across Birmingham, apart from Dawes accompanied by Lucius at the Druid City Music Hall. Kentuck is all prepped for its March Art Night, while Theatre Tuscaloosa’s improv class will wrap up the week with a showcase performance. Stand-up comedian Paula Poundstone will be inducing laughter at the BJCC Theater.

Thursday

Brandon Lake and Doe will set the BJCC Arena into a musical mode at 7 p.m. Attendees can purchase tickets online starting at $11.

Friday

Three’s Company will invigorate The 205 Restaurant and Bar at 7 p.m., followed by Boon Dock Saints at Scooter’s Lounge from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Stand-Up Tuscaloosa and Compton Smith will host “This Could Be You”, a comedy show with an open mic, at Black Warrior Brewing Co. from 8-11 p.m.

Several upcoming concerts permeate the schedule, including performances by Drivin’ n’ Cryin’, Jackson Chase, Southern Division on March 23 at The Venue Tuscaloosa. Riley Green, Tracy Lawrence and Ella Langley are slated to perform on April 18 at Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater. Subsequent performances will feature Travis Tritt, Chase Matthew, Frank Foster, Billy Currington, Kip Moore, Redferrin, Kool and the Gang, The Bar-Kays, Midnight Star, Lakeside, and Cody Jinks.
