Ensley is a sizable urban neighborhood located in Jefferson County, Alabama. It used to be a distinct and prosperous manufacturing city. It was officially incorporated on February 12, 1899, but as part of the “Greater Birmingham” legislation, it was later absorbed into Birmingham on January 1, 1910.
Southeast of Ensley and close to the campus of UAB, in Birmingham, Alabama, is a historic area called Titusville. It is focused on 6th Avenue South, which runs between Elmwood Cemetery and downtown Birmingham. It also mentions its connections to Woodland Park, South Titusville, and North Titusville as local communities.
North Birmingham is a neighborhood in Birmingham, Alabama’s Jefferson County. Six communities make up the current division of the North Birmingham community: Acipco-Finley, Collegeville, Fairmont, Harriman Park, Hooper City, and North Birmingham.
